Vital Chiropractic
At Vital Chiropractic, we believe that health isn’t just the absence of pain, it’s the ability to move freely, feel strong, and let your nervous system fully express its potential. When your spine is aligned and mobile, your body can perform at its highest level, from healing and energy to focus and resilience.
Your path to long term strength and health
Once your movement is restored, we’ll guide you toward long term strength and confidence. Dr. J provides customized exercise plans, ergonomic support, and posture training to help you stay active and pain free. His diverse background as a voice and movement coach, yoga instructor, and personal trainer gives him a unique perspective on how the body works, and how to keep it working well.
Where better movement meets better living.
At the heart of everything we do is your nervous system, the command center for your entire body. When your spine moves and aligns properly, your nervous system can communicate clearly, powering every cell, organ, and function with precision. That’s why we do what we do: to help you feel your best, function your best, and live a truly vital life.
Our Technique
I practice the Diversified Technique of chiropractic, which focuses on restoring proper movement to the spine and extremities using hands-on adjustments and specialized instruments. The technique is called “diversified” because it can be applied in many ways, depending on what your body needs.
I use several methods to deliver adjustments:
Drop table adjustments: The table has sections that gently drop beneath you to assist in the adjustment. Most patients find this very comfortable, even though it sometimes makes a noticeable sound.
Arthrostim instrument: This handheld tool delivers small, precise pulses to joints or muscles, helping relax tension, restore movement, and even stimulate neurological pathways to improve posture.
Hands-on adjustments: My favorite method, which allows me to feel areas of restriction (subluxations), tense muscles, and other issues that may not be visible. Through skilled palpation, I can detect what needs attention and restore proper motion to joints or loosen tight muscles.
Palpation and adjustments are an art, and each doctor’s approach varies. Some pressure is necessary to sense and correct joint and muscle restrictions, and while some patients may find it slightly uncomfortable, most tolerate it well. I encourage patients to allow the process and then evaluate how they feel afterward — many notice immediate relief or improved mobility, though some issues require multiple visits to fully resolve.
I can adjust my approach to your preferences. If you prefer lower-force techniques, instrument-only adjustments, or want to avoid certain areas, we can customize your care to ensure your comfort while still achieving effective results.
